Weller Pottery 1900-05 Dickensware II Whiskey Jug Old England Bar Scene #30 Anthony Dunlavy

$335.00
This Weller line was designed by Charles Upjohn and was produced from 1900-1905. Each piece was etched with a needle and the designs were then hand painted and finally covered in a glossy or matt glaze.A lot of time and care was taken to create each piece and while the values of the Dickensware II pieces have been steady for several years. A lot of time the prices do not reflect the workmanship in the pieces. There is a vast number of designs to choose from and has remained a collector's favorite.

Here we have a unique 5 1/4 inch tall 'Ol England' whiskey jug. The earthly colors blend well together. This is artist signed on the side AD which is Arthur Dunlavy. This is a great collector item that would look wonderful on a fireplace mantle.

Exceptional jug in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze. FREE from crazing. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. I cannot detect any repair or modification. The white spots are studio light reflections.

All images are original and un-edited. Authentic and appropriately stamped with Weller Pottery.
