Silver Springs Brown Green Swirl Tall Urn Vase Marked

$35.00
Silver Springs refers to a marbleized pottery that has been made at Silver Springs, Florida, since 1938. The name is impressed on the bottom of the piece. Silver Springs' most common pieces are vases. Silver Springs - now called Florida's Silver Springs - sold souvenir art pottery made by Seminole Indians at its Indian village. Light colors such as white and light pink were swirled to create a marbleized effect. The pottery was last made about 1970.

This 4 1/2 inch tall swirl vase has a cute swirl with a clear glossy glaze on the inside. This vase is a wonderful example of an arts and crafts style. This piece has a wonderful shape and a great collection of complimenting colors. Could use a good cleaning.

Wonderful vase in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze, no repairs and little to no crazing. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. The white spots are studio light reflections.

Authentic Silver Springs Pottery and appropriately marked. All images are original and un-edited.
