Early Rookwood Pottery decorated porcelain vase, Sara Sax, 1915, pristine. This early Rookwood Pottery decorated porcelain vase from 1915 is decorated with pink roses by Sara Sax. The marks include the Rookwood logo, date, shape 2196 and Ms. Sax's monogram.
This is a museum quality vase without even a hint of crazing. There are no chips, no cracks, and no restoration. It does have a wheel ground "X" on the base, the reason for this is unapparent.
This is a gorgeous piece with brilliant colors that is perfect for a curated collection. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process.
