Rookwood Pottery had many lines that are known as production ware which are usually not artist signed or have unique hand painting. Each production ware piece was created in a variety of colors which would provide a wide appeal for anyone to purchase.
This is a beautiful 5 3/4 inch tall horn handled vase shape number 77. This shape number was originally assigned to a pitcher but was transferred to this piece. It was noted that this was a small covered jar but it was mostly made without the lid, like we have here. There are two sizes A and C. Very pretty! A nice simple but elegant design to fit any arts and crafts decor.
Exceptional vase in excellent original condition in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze and free from crazing and repairs. Any imperfections are from the firing/manufacturing process.
