This is a beautiful example of a Rookwood candle holder from 1922 in a wonderful blue and tan mat glaze. This wonderful candle holder is a nice arts and crafts or mission style designed by Kataro Shirayamadani. The glaze is expertly and richly applied, and it is completely without crazing.
It is free from chips, cracks, or repairs, and is in excellent original condition. Shape number 1193, it displays well, and is a great piece to accent any arts and crafts decor. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. The white spots are studio light reflections.
