$495.00
Stunning Rookwood Pottery Floral Vase, 1919 by Carrie Steinle. Carolyn Frances Steinle (Carrie) was born in 1871, in Cincinnati Ohio. She began working at Rookwood pottery at the age of 15 in 1886, but did not begin decorating until the year 1892. She worked in a variety of glazes, including Standard Glaze, Iris, and Vellum. She left the pottery in 1925 to join a convent. She died on August 1, 1944. Collector interest in her pieces are considered to be average.

Here we have a 6 3/4 inch tall vase. This is a beautiful piece done in vellum. The pink fuchsia blossoms are well executed and appear in the continuous band near the rim. Marks include the Rookwood logo, date, shape 1655F and Ms Steinle's monogram. The pictures do not do it justice.

Excellent original condition in that there are no chips, no cracks, and no restoration. Typical crazing. Any imperfections are from the firing/manufacturing process.

Authentic and signed appropriately with the Rookwood symbol and shape number. All images are original and un-edited. Artist signed.
