This outstanding Arts and Crafts style Rookwood vase from 1914 is a stunning example of that period. This piece has grapes and leaves surrounding the base of this 4 footed vase. This vase was designed by Kataro Shirayamadani who designed several pieces during this time period. The glaze is expertly applied, and it is completely without crazing. Outstanding example of this unique glaze color. Shape number 1888, it displays well, and is a great piece to accent nearly any decor.
There are no chips, no cracks, and no restoration. It is free from chips, cracks or repairs and is in excellent original condition. This is a gorgeous piece with a mat green over a deep red glaze. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process.
