Throughout years of experimentation with glazes and kiln temperatures, Rookwood pottery became a popular American art pottery, designed to be at least as decorative as it is useful. Here we have a very impressive example of the later Z line produced by Rookwood. This is a beautiful stein which is a pleasure to admire.
