Muncie Pottery 1929 Blue over Rose Corset Vase #119-6

$99.00
Muncie Pottery started production of art pottery in 1919 as the Muncie Clay Products Company. Muncie Pottery started as a subsidiary of the German-American Clay Company. Muncie Pottery like so many of the other American art pottery companies closed its doors as a victim of the depression in 1939.

This is a beautiful Blue over Rose glaze Muncie Corset vase that stands 6 inches tall. This is truly an outstanding example as I almost want to keep this for myself! The blue glaze is subtle yet slightly drips down from the rim and blending into the rose glaze. Wonderful arts and crafts example.

Outstanding vase in that it has no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze. Very minimal crazing. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. No evidence of repair or modification was detected. The white spots are studio light reflections.

Authentic Muncie Pottery. Marked with decorator mark I.
