Loetz was the premier Bohemian art glass manufacturer during the Art Nouveau period from roughly 1890 to 1920. Founded in 1840 by Johann Loetz in what is now the Czech Republic, the company became known for its innovative techniques, organic forms, and bold use of color.
Here we have a wonderful 5 3/4 inch tall Green Ruffle Rim vase. This is a beautifully executed glass piece perfect to display or use. This vase has beautiful iridized green color and shape. This was hand blown as the ruffle rim is uneven. This piece is signed Loetz Austria but we could not verify the shape.
Wonderful vase in that it is no chips, no cracks, no scratches. Polished indent on underside of rim - last picture. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process . All images are original and un-edited. Signed Loetz Austria.
