Weller Pottery 1915 Brighton Butterfly Ornament
The Weller Pottery produced the Brighton line in 1915. It is the glossy counterpart to the Muskota line. The pieces are bright and cheerful which were ideal for gift giving. The line is composed of small figures, dishes, flower frogs, along with birds and butterflies. This is a marvelous example of a Brighton Butterfly. The butterflies came in two sizes and this is the larger one. This is such a cute butterfly. Usually these butterflies are chipped - this one is not.
Wonderful collectible with great color. Displays exceptionally well from all angles.
Exceptional butterfly in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches. mild crazing. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. I cannot detect any repairs or restoration on this piece. The white spots are studio light reflections.
