Weller Pottery 1896-1924 Blue Louwelsa Squat Ewer Signed Henry Fuchs #508 5
This unique Weller 1896 - 1924 Blue Lowelsa Squat Ewer with Holly Leaves and Berries design is just as beautiful in person as it in the pictures. The Lowelsa line was produced in a few colors but mainly the standard glaze line. To find a Blue Louwelsa is very RARE as not many were produced. This is the one that you have been waiting for.
An example of this style can be seen on page 61 of the "Warman's Weller Pottery Identification and Price Guide" by Denise Rago and David Rago. The condition is really exceptional with no damage. In my opinion, this is a very unique and hard to find Weller Blue Louwelsa ewer especially in this condition. The artistry is outstanding and signed by Henry Luchs where else can you find such a piece of art. Blue Louwelsa is difficult to acquire and perfect to add to any collection.
Exceptional ewer in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze, no repairs, no restoration. Very minor underglaze crazing on this wonderful ewer. It may appear more pronounced due to the macro lens used for the photography. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. The white spots are studio light reflections. Guaranteed authentic and unaltered.
Authentic Weller Louwelsa. All images are original and un-edited.
