Van Briggle 1970's Ming Blue Acorn and Leaf Bowl
The Van Briggle Art Pottery was the oldest continuously operating art pottery studio in the United States, having been established in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1901 by Artus and Anne Van Briggle. The Van Briggle Pottery Studio closed in spring 2012.
Van Briggle produced many items that hearken back to nature and this is no exception. This particular bowl has an acorn and leaf on each side that resemble handles. The ming blue color is the perfect touch to this wonderful pot. Detail is exceptional and is the perfect piece to complete your nature collection. Displays well from all angles. What a wonderful bow and is waiting for a new home.
No evidence of repair or modification was detected. Exceptional bowl in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze. No Crazing! Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process including glaze misses and glaze pops.
