Roseville Pottery 1951 Dawn Gray Bittersweet Short Bowl Planter #827-8

Roseville introduced this line in 1951. Like the invasive deciduous perennial, the Bittersweet pieces are wrapped in leafy green vines with reddish-yellow flowers and woody handles. The backgrounds are gray, green and yellow. The marks are usually raised.

This line is always difficult to find and when I do I scoop it up! Here we have a great bowl in Dawn Gray. This is an interesting piece that is a good size handled bowl. This piece has a nice crisp mold with excellent glaze color. This is a great piece to add to any collection.

Wonderful bowl in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze. Little to no crazing. I cannot detect any repairs or restoration. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process including glaze misses and glaze pops.

Authentic and marked Roseville with shape number. All images are original and un-edited.
