Roseville Pottery 1950 Green Gardenia Large Planter #630-12
The Roseville Pottery company introduced the Gardenia line in 1950. The Gardenia line features a wide belt of white blossoms and green leaves evenly wrapped around the vessels. The background colors for the line consist of tan-brown with an orange tint, gray and shades of green. Pieces feature raised marks.
Here we have a nice example of a 12 inch long Roseville Green Gardenia Bowl or Planter. The background is slightly textured with a variegated green to darker green at the bottom. Nice elongated bowl with swooping wings on the ends. There is a band that surrounds the body of the bowl which displays the gardenia flower and its leaves. Exceptional detail to the gardenia flowers which are on each side of the vase.
Exceptional bowl in excellent original condition in that it has no cracks, no scratches to glaze, no repairs, no restorations.Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. The white spots are studio light reflections.
Authentic and appropriately marked Roseville with shape number. All images are original and un-edited.
