Roseville Pottery 1949 Jade Green Ming Tree Vase #582-8 Gold Accents

The Roseville Company introduced this line in 1949. Although the decoration on this line has been described as a Japanese bonsai tree, Ming was one of the Chinese dynasties. Body colors are glazed in a glossy Celestial Blue, Jade Green and Temple White. The pieces have gnarled branches as handles. Marks are usually raised.

Here we have a 8 1/4 inch tall Ming Tree vase in a pleasing high gloss Jade Green with Gold Leaf Handles. This is a very unusual vase and difficult to find especially with the Gold Leaf handles. Great ming tree design which resembles a bonsai tree with white fluffy pads.

Exceptional piece in excellent original condition in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze. Very minor glaze lines. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process.

Authentic and appropriately signed Roseville with shape number on the bottom. I cannot detect any repairs or modifications. All picture are original and un-edited.
