Roseville Pottery 1923 Corinthian Wall Pocket Vase #1228-10

Corinthian is a middle period line introduced by Roseville Pottery in 1923. Corinthian shapes have fluted bodies with green tinting in the grooves and a Renaissance border of brown, green, and purple at the mouth. The line is somewhat similar to the Roseville Normandy pattern. The Corinthian pattern includes 41 different shapes, including vases flower blocks, compotes, planters, baskets, jardinieres, pedestals, wall pockets, flower pots, and candlesticks. Corinthian is either unmarked or stamped with a blue Rv logo.

This is a beautiful Corinthian wall Pocket Vase that is 9 5/8 inches tall. This line is very reminiscent of a classical Greek design with columns and floral designs. A wonderful piece to grace any decor.

Wonderful vase in that it has no cracks, no scratches to glaze. Very minimal crazing. Very tiny glaze flake to tip. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. No evidence of repair or modification was detected. The white spots are studio light reflections.

Authentic Roseville Pottery. Ink Stamp . All images are original and un-edited.
