Roseville Pottery 1923 Corinthian Bowl #721-6
Corinthian is a middle period line introduced by Roseville Pottery in 1923. Corinthian shapes have fluted bodies with green tinting in the grooves and a Renaissance border of brown, green, and purple at the mouth. The line is somewhat similar to the Roseville Normandy pattern. The Corinthian pattern includes 41 different shapes, including vases flower blocks, compotes, planters, baskets, jardinieres, pedestals, wall pockets, flower pots, and candlesticks. Corinthian is either unmarked or stamped with a blue Rv logo.
This is a beautiful Corinthian Low Bulb Bowl that is 6 1/4 inches wide. This line is very reminiscent of a classical Greek design with columns and floral designs. A wonderful piece to use as a planter for any Bonsai.
Exceptional bowl in that it has no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze. Very minimal crazing. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. No evidence of repair or modification was detected. The white spots are studio light reflections.
Authentic Roseville Pottery. Unmarked line . All images are original and un-edited.
