Roseville Pottery 1910 Carnelian I Blue Drip over Blue Wall Pocket #1251-8
Roseville Pottery introduced the Carnelian I line around 1910 and has dripping glazes in shapes based on classic vessels. Colors include gray, dull green, blue and an ochre yellow. Ink stamps are common, but some pieces may be unmarked.
Here we have an exceptional example of a 8 1/2 inch long blue on blue Carnelian I wall pocket shape number 1251-8. The handles have a wonderful curve to them and are in excellent condition. This is the perfect piece for any blue collection.
Wonderful piece in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze, no repairs and FREE from crazing. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. The white spots are studio light reflections.
