Rookwood Pottery Vase High Gloss Beige #6183F, 1944
Rookwood Pottery had many lines that are known as production ware which are usually not artist signed or have unique hand painting but each was individually glazed which accounts for the variation in glaze color. Each production ware piece was created in a variety of colors which would provide a wide appeal for anyone to purchase.
Many high gloss vases craze due to the high temperature of the kiln that they are fired in. This particular vase has some crazing but still displays very well. The vase is done in a nice neutral beige sure to fit into any decor. Great round design which can fit just about anywhere. Give as a gift or keep for yourself. Displays perfectly from all sides and angles.
Exceptional vase in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze and minor crazing. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. Dimensions are below. Authentic and signed appropriately with the Rookwood symbol and shape number.
H: 4 1/2", Base: 2 1/4" , Rim: 2 1/4"
