Weller Pottery 1920-30 Nasturtium Hudson Vase Hester Pillsbury
This particular Weller Hudson vase was painted by Hester Pillsbury. She was a decorator associated with Roseville as well as Weller Pottery. Ms. Pillsbury started working at Weller sometime after 1918, but is believed to have been decorating pottery from as early as 1904.
This Hudson vase is a large example standing at 12 inches tall. Beautiful painting of blue Nasturtium surround the shoulder of the vase. The blue and green beautifully offset against a shaded pink glazed body. Extremely well hand painted. An impressive piece to admire. Perfect decorator piece.
Exceptional vase in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze. Very very minor underglaze crazing on this beauty. Looks more pronounced due to the macro lens used for the photography. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process including glaze misses and glaze pops.
I cannot detect any evidence of repair or modification. Please review the high resolution pictures because they are part of the description. The pictures are taken with a macro lens which show exceptional detail. Please review each picture carefully and contact with any questions.
