Weller Pottery 1898-1918 Roses Eocean Mug Stein

Weller's Eocean was produced from 1898 through sometime between 1915-1918. It is most often found in a shaded gray background but upon rare occasion you will find a piece in shades of pink, green, blue or yellow. The Rose or pink variation has the typical shaded gray background with a pink tint at the lightest end. The most collectible Eocean forms are the highly decorated and artist signed.

Here we have a nice example of a hand painted Rose on an Eocean mug. The rose and leaves are well detailed and have nice color. The handle is in marvelous shape. This is the perfect mug to add to a Weller collection. Wonderful display piece.

Wonderful mug in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze, no repairs, no restoration. Minor underglaze crazing on this wonderful vase. It may appear more pronounced due to the macro lens used for the photography. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process.

Authentic Weller Pottery. All images are original and un-edited.The white spots are studio light reflections.
