Weller Pottery 1904 St Louis Fair Souvenir Plate William McKinley
The Weller Pottery Company was a big hit at the 1904 World's Fair. The fair, held in St. Louis, celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the Louisiana Purchase. This incredible purchase from France in 1803 extended the boundaries of the United States from the Mississippi to the crest of the Rocky Mountains; over 800,000 square miles. Weller built an actual model pottery at the fair investing over $30,000 in the project.
