The Van Briggle Art Pottery is the oldest continuously operating art pottery in the United States, having been established in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1901 by Artus and Anne Van Briggle. The Van Briggle Pottery Studio closed in spring 2012.

Here we have a wonderful Van Briggle conch shell vase in the recognizable mulberry glaze. Jeff Oelkhaus is identified as the glaze sprayer of this beautiful vase. Wonderful glaze treatment with mulberry and purple/blue hues. Nice piece sure to please. Exceptional piece for any collection. Perfect from all angles.

Exceptional vase in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze, Free from crazing. May have very minor penciling (silver marks). I cannot detect any repairs or modifications. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process.

Authentic. Signed Van Briggle. All pictures are original and un-edited.
