Roseville Pottery Tile Sappho 2017
Today we present a rare opportunity to collectors of Roseville Pottery. For the first time since closing their doors in 1954, the Roseville Pottery brand has returned, with a series of authorized limited edition decorative ceramic art tiles. Each tile is designed and executed by a contemporary studio artist in an edition of 50 pieces. They are framed, and come with a certificate of authenticity issued by Roseville and signed by the artist. 10% of the profits of will be donated to a charity cause chosen by the artist.
This first tile is entitled "Sappho", and was designed and executed in high relief by accomplished ceramic artist Marina Bosetti. Marina's studio in Raliegh, North Carolina provides the perfect setting and inspiration for this remarkable Art Nouveau masterpiece. The unique glazes shimmer in the sunlight giving added depth to the innovative design. The sale of these tiles will provide donations to breast cancer prevention, a cause with a deeply personal connection to Marina and her family. This decorative art tile is the first series to be issued by Roseville Pottery and is new in the box with all paperwork included. Each is signed and numbered with only 50 pieces created, and the molds have been destroyed preventing any future reproduction.
The tile is 8" x 8", and with frame is 9 1/4 x 9 1/4". It comes ready to hang and display, the perfect gift for a breast cancer survivor or thier family.
