Roseville Pottery 1933 High Gloss Gold Tourmaline Vase #429-9
Roseville's Tourmaline , introduced in 1933, is another of the pottery's middle period lines which attracts both Arts & Crafts and Art Deco collectors, depending on glaze color. The glazes are a mottled dripping glaze in a combination that includes blue, ivory, tan, turquoise and an interesting amber-yellow sometimes more of a golden.
Here we have an interesting example of a beautiful 9 1/4 inch tall Tourmaline vase. Most people refer to the glaze on this piece as Gold. The vase shape is a common one used in the Futura line. Although this vase may not look that large in the pictures, it is a substantial piece in person. This is a perfect arts and crafts style to add to any collection.
Exceptional vase in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze. FREE from crazing. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process including glaze misses and glaze pops.
Unmarked Roseville. Guaranteed to be original, vintage Roseville pottery. All pictures are original and un-edited.
