Roseville Pottery 1915 Donatello Low Round Bowl #54-8
The Donatello line was designed by Frederick Rhead. This line has a lighter green with beige fluting. A frieze of cherubs encircles the vessels with a brown background. Pieces are usually unmarked, or had an "Rv" ink stamp.
This a wonderful example of a 2 3/4 inch tall Donatello low large tulip bowl. Nice crisp mold and color. Wonderful piece from the Donatello line.
Outstanding bowl in that it has no cracks, no scratches to glaze. one minor chip to rim. Typical minor crazing.I cannot detect any repairs or modification. Any imperfections are from the firing/manufacturing process including glaze misses and glaze pops. Please review the high resolution pictures because they are part of the description.
Authentic Roseville Pottery. Ink stamp of number. All images are original and un-retouched.
