Roseville Pottery 1915-20 Donatello All Cigar Ash Tray #17
The Donatello line was designed by Frederick Rhead. This line has a lighter green with beige fluting. A frieze of cherubs encircles the vessels with a brown background. Pieces are usually unmarked, or had an "Rv" ink stamp.
This a wonderful example of a 3 inch tall Donatello cigar ash tray. Although this piece has a muddied mold, the color is good and must have been produced later in the production period. This is a very unique piece and difficult to find. Wonderful piece from the Donatello line. Perfect addition to any collection.
Outstanding vase in that it has no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze. Typical minor crazing. I cannot detect any repairs or modification. Any imperfections are from the firing/manufacturing process including glaze misses and glaze pops. Please review the high resolution pictures because they are part of the description.
