Roseville Pottery 1912 Nursery Rhyme Old Woman Baby's Plate Rimmed Low Bowl
The Roseville creamwares line dates from 1910 to 1920. The creamwares line includes many items ranging from the Juvenile line to Nursery, shaving mugs and pin boxes. The Nursery pieces had many pieces were produced mainly around 1912 and were low bowls with broad rims which were suitable for feeding children in a high chair. All of them are transfer decorated with about a dozen or so rhymes but are mainly unmarked. Some have Baby's Plate on the rim while others have a wide band of green and they came in a few sizes.
Here we have an wonderful example of a 7 1/2 inch wide Old Woman Nursery Rhyme rimmed low bowl. The outer band is in great condition and displays the words Baby's Plate. The transfer of the plate is in good condition with some minor wear.
Wonderful nursery bowl in original condition in that it has no chips, no cracks, no scratches, no crazing, no repairs, minor paint loss. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process.
