Roseville Pottery 1951 Artwood Stone Gray Rectangle Window Box Tulip #1056-10
The Artwood line was introduced on July 4, 1951. Artwood came in a variety of shapes and sizes. Many of the shapes had a window effect in the middle with a tree branch spanning from one side to the other or a flower or leaf designs. Colors on this line are a blend of variegated colors. The colors of this line have been given names by Roseville: emerald green, poppy yellow, stone gray.
Here we have an excellent example of a 10 1/2 inch long ArtWood Planter in Stone Gray. I just love this pattern as it has a unique floral item in each different shape! This is a great collectible middle period line sure to please. Excellent original condition.
Exceptional piece in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze. I cannot detect any crazing, repairs or restoration. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process.
Authentic and marked on bottom. All images are original and un-edited..
