Peters and Reed Sand Pereco Egyptian Wall Pocket #83, 1924

In 1922 when King Tut's tomb opened, Peters and Reed decided to create pottery that were reiminescent of this Eqyptian phenom. This is a fine example of the Peters and Reed Egyptian wall pocket. Wonderful profile of an Egyptian prince in a very nice neutral sand pereco beige glaze. Wonderful addition to any collection. A true pleasure to see. Displays perfectly from all sides and angles.

Wonderful wall pocket in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze and free of repairs and crazing. Teeny glaze flake to tip of wall pocket. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. I cannot detect any repairs or restoration on this piece.

Dimensions are below.

Authentic. Peters and Reed did not mark or sign their pottery wares.
