Young & Constantin 1988 Blue Art Glass Vase #64
Apparently, Christopher Constantin and Kathleen Young only were able to work together for a brief period of time before Christopher passed away in 2001. There does not seem to be too much information on them or their body of work. There are a few things known. For example, Christopher had intensive studies with Lino Tagliapierta, of Murano, Venice, Italy 1988 & 1990 while Kathleen was an all around artist with experiences in pottery, painting, photography, drawing and papermaking with intensive study in silversmithing 1990.
This Y&C vase is a beautiful example of their work done in a rich blue hue. The ringed neck provides an interesting attribute to the design. One can see the Murano influence in this particular glasswork. This vase is more than likely a one of a kind piece. Displays well from all angles.
Exceptional vase in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches. I cannot detect any issues with this piece. Possible minor wear to bottom due to age. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. Dimensions are below.
