Charles Vessiere 1920's Enamel Dragonfly & Flowers Vase
Not much can be found on Charles Vessiere except that he was a glass artist that worked for Baccarat at one point and hailed from Baccarat France. Most of his work that has been found was done as cameo vases. This particular piece is done with enamel applied to the glass vase.
This is a beautiful vase with a wonderful depiction of a dragonfly with floral elements. The color combination is perfect with the brown applied to a pink vase. Many glass artists who worked in France, worked in the Nancy region this is why pieces are signed Nancy. Perfect decorator piece. Dispalys well from all angles. The pictures do not do this magnificent vase justice! No evidence of repair or modification was detected.
Exceptional vase in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process .
I cannot detect any evidence of repair or modification. Please review the high resolution pictures because they are part of the description. The pictures are taken with a macro lens which show exceptional detail. Please review each picture carefully and contact with any questions.
