Muncie Pottery Vase 1928-29 Green Over Lavender Vase # 441-6 1/2 (Smooth)

Muncie Pottery started production of art pottery in 1919 as the Muncie Clay Products Company. Muncie Pottery started as a subsidiary of the German-American Clay Company. Muncie Pottery like so many of the other American art pottery companies closed its doors as a victim of the depression in 1939.

Here we a wonderful 6 inch tall vase with a green drip over lavender. This combination is a beautiful glaze. A nice mantle vase with a beautiful shape that will please any collector. Wonderful soft matte design with the bulbous bottom shows well from every side. Really a unique piece that anyone would be proud to call their own. No harsh lines or color breaks with the drip design. A wonderful arts and crafts style vase.

Wonderful vase in that it has no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze and minimal to no crazing. Some minor pencil marks to body. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. No evidence of repair or modification was detected. The white spots are studio light reflections.

All images are original and un-edited. Authentic Muncie Pottery.
