1930's Muncie Gloss Green Tulip Bulb Bowl169-7 I

Muncie Pottery started production of art pottery in 1919 as the Muncie Clay Products Company. Muncie Pottery started as a subsidiary of the German-American Clay Company. Muncie Pottery like so many of the other American art pottery companies closed its doors as a victim of the depression in 1939.

The gloss green is a beautiful glaze with speckles of brown. This is a perfect center piece or bulb bowl. Beautiful shape that will please any collector. This is impressed on the bottom with I which is the decorator mark. In my opinion, this would make a wonderful addition to any Muncie Pottery collection or any pottery collection.

Exceptional bowl in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze, no repairs, no crazing. Probably could use another good cleaning to bring out the colors even more. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. All pictures are original and un-edited.

Authentic Muncie Pottery.
