Muncie Pottery 1928 Rombic Gloss Black Star Vase #312-5
Muncie Pottery started production of art pottery in 1919 as the Muncie Clay Products Company. Muncie Pottery started as a subsidiary of the German-American Clay Company. Muncie Pottery like so many of the other American art pottery companies closed its doors as a victim of the depression in 1939.
This 5 inch wide Rombic star vase was designed by well known Reuben Haley. The high gloss black glaze on this star vase is a rare find and something to be treasured. A unique piece of American art pottery sure to be treasured.
Exceptional vase in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze. FREE from crazing. No repairs or restoration. Clay lumps and glaze imperfections. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. The white spots are studio light reflections.
