Lalique Crystal after 1978 Diane with Fawn Figurine Figural
When it comes to defining elegance and affluence as a lifestyle, Lalique crystal comes to mind for most people. From its earliest days to present times, the Lalique Company has consistently tantalized the world with its exquisite glass and crystal depictions of themes that include flora, fauna and the beauty of the female form. Although largely classified as realism, the Lalique Company also integrates symbolic themes in the form of stylized objects that reflect the beauty of nature.
This is an excellent example of a Lalique Diane figural. This was designed by Marc Lalique in 1949. In Roman mythology, Diana was the goddess of hunting, the moon and birthing. She is associated with wild animals in the woods. This beautiful figurine captures her essence. Use as a paperweight or just display on a mantle. Displays exceptionally well from all angles.
Exceptional figural in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches. Appropriately signed Lalique France. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process.
