Fenton Silver Crest Bon Bon Bowl

Fenton's Silver Crest started production in the 1940's and continued for some time. Each time Fenton had discontinued it, demand and/or financial matters persuaded them into re-creating some pieces. Before 1958, the white was called opal and had an opalescence to it when held to the light. In 1958, the formula was changed and made the glass look very white without the fire in the white.

I believe this piece to be around 1958 when using the description above. Also, this is unmarked which definitely puts this bowl prior to 1973. This bowl is known as a bonbon bowl with a nice simple curve around the bowl. This is a wonderful piece of Silver Crest ready for display and everyday use.

Exceptional vase in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. Dimensions are below.
