Fenton Art Glass 1926-29 Tangerine Stretch Glass Crimped Comport Vase #574-6
Fenton began to aggressively market the plain iridescent glassware in 1921 after the decline of the carnival glass. This type of glassware is known as stretch glass. Each color was produced for a limited time. The tangerine colors were made between 1924 and 1929.
This particular 7 inch wide Fenton comport was produced between 1926-29 . The design is known as a Crimped Comport Vase. An amazing piece to own and covet. It is becoming more difficult to find Fenton Stretch Glass but here is the one you are waiting for.
Exceptional vase in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches. A few minor air bubbles. There is no evidence of repair or modification. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process.
All images are original and un-edited. Authentic unsigned Fenton.
