2005 Fenton 100th Anniversary Founders HandPainted Red Vase
Though the precise date of Fenton's first contact with QVC is uncertain, it was 1987 when Shelley Fenton Ash was contacted by Whitney Smith of QVC to explore the possibilities of marketing Fenton products on QVC. The birthstone bears were the first product. Many of the Fenton owners have been on QVC over the years. This is were most of the Limited Edition items have been sold.
This is an outstanding Fenton vase with excellent, rich glass color in an iridescent red. The flowers are hand painted and the original sticker is still attached. This vase was made for the 100th anniversary for the founding of the company and is signed by Frank M Fenton, George W Fenton and the artist D Robinson. To celebrate the Fenton Art Glass Company's 100th anniversary, ten members of the Fenton family accepted this challenge: Choose the 100 very best pieces made by Fenton during the company's 100-year history. Each item is signed by at least one Fenton family member.
Exceptional vase in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. Dimensions are below.
