Evans Pottery 1930 's Brown Green Swirl Vase

We believe this piece to be old swirl Evans Pottery. The vase is not marked but definitely has age to it. The previous owner believed this to be Evans Pottery as well. Little to nothing is known about Evans Pottery from the 1930's time frame although there are many references to Evans Pottery in various parts of the country in more recent times.

This 5 1/2 inch tall Evans footed vase has a pale swirl surrounding the entire vase. Evans Pottery in usually unglazed. This vase is a wonderful example of an arts and crafts style. But today collectors are beginning to appreciate these pieces which are becoming increasingly difficult to find. One of the original selling points of this pottery was that you can smooth it down when you got a chip. Now is your chance to repair your own pottery and smooth out the rim chips.

Great vase in that it has no cracks, no scratches to glaze, no repairs and no crazing. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. The white spots are studio light reflections.
