Fenton Glass 1907 Green Carnival Thumbprint Swung Vase
The golden era of carnival glass was from about 1905 to the mid-1920's. The iridescent luster on this patterned pressed glass is achieved by spraying the hot surface with metallic salt solutions. Alot of pieces were produced and sold in the major stores of the time like Woolworth. Carnival glass was created to rival the iridescent glass of the time which would be Tiffany. Fancy glass for the common man.
Here we have a beautiful example of an 10 5/8 inch tall Fenton Green Carnival Glass Vase. This is a beautiful vase with a wonderful sheen. The design on this Fenton Green Carnival glass vase is known as Thumbprint.
Exceptional original condition and over 100 years old. Exceptional vase in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches, no repairs, no restoration. I cannot detect any issues with this piece. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process.
