Peters and Reed Pottery 1910 Landsun Scenic #25 Vase
The Peters & Reed pottery was formally incorporated in 1901. Their pottery was primarily made of red clay from the Zanesville, Ohio area. Peters & Red art pottery is known for their remarkable glazes and glaze treatments. The Landsun line has many different looks to the glaze from soft and blended to very sharp distinctive markings. The Landsun pieces were red clay bodies with glazed bottoms, most of the time. The factory marks are usually shape numbers.
This vintage 13 inch tall Landsun scenic vase is in great condition considering it is over 100 years old. Perfect brown tones with green hues and a few trees on rolling hills.
No crazing and no repairs. Minor chip to base. Minor chip to rim. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. All pictures are original and un-edited.
Authentic Peters and Reed Pottery.
