Overbeck Pottery Basics
What is Overbeck Pottery?
Overbeck Pottery was founded by four sisters on their property in Cambridge City, Indiana in 1911. The four sisters each were involved in the production of the pottery at various times, ending with the death of Mary Overbeck in 1955.
Throughout their production, Overbeck Pottery epitomized the arts and crafts movement. Each unique piece was laboriously designed and planned, and then hand-crafted as a singular work of ceramic artwork.
Collector interest is extremely high, with few examples available on the market due to limited production numbers. Owning just a single piece of Overbeck Pottery is considered an accomplishment in many circles.
