Artists and Craftsmen of Newcomb College Pottery
Artists and Craftsmen of Newcomb College Pottery
Although no direct records have been found identifying which artists created which pieces, many of the artists marks have been deciphered and associated with the correct artist. Below is a list of known decorators with their mark if available. Many of the craftsmen specialized in other arts at the college such as bookbinding, needlepoint, or metalwork, and so may have created little or no pottery. They are included anyway in the case that additional pieces come to light with an unknown artist cypher.
