Muncie Pottery started production of art pottery in 1919 as the Muncie Clay Products Company. Muncie Pottery started as a subsidiary of the German-American Clay Company. Muncie Pottery like so many of the other American art pottery companies closed its doors as a victim of the depression in 1939.
This 4 3/4 inch tall Muncie bud vase is in wonderful original condition. The brown peachskin glaze of brown, gray, cream, and rust/orange is exceptional in color and depth. The brown glaze flows nicely down the shoulder of the vessel accenting its shape. A beautiful, collectible arts and crafts vase. Now is your chance to own your own.
Exceptional vase in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no repairs, no scratches to glaze. minor crazing. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. The white spots are studio light reflections.
