Muncie Pottery 1929 Black Peachskin Creamer/Pitcher #416-4

Muncie Pottery started production of art pottery in 1919 as the Muncie Clay Products Company. Muncie Pottery started as a subsidiary of the German-American Clay Company. Muncie Pottery like so many of the other American art pottery companies closed its doors as a victim of the depression in 1939.

Here we have a 3 3/4 inch tall Muncie small pitcher in a beautiful black peachskin glaze. The peachskin glaze is a highly collectible glaze and easily recognizable. This glaze is a perfect blending of black, orange and yellow. Hard to find in any condition and this is in excellent original condition. This is an unusual shape that is seldom seen and verified in the Muncie Pottery book.

Exceptional creamer in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze. FREE from crazing. The bright studio lights may make it appear that there are scratches etc but the piece is in excellent condition. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. I can not detect any evidence of repair or modification. The white spots are studio light reflections.

Authentic Muncie Pottery. All images are original and un-edited.
