Muncie Pottery 1928 Rombic Green Over Lilac Star Vase #312-5
Muncie Pottery started production of art pottery in 1919 as the Muncie Clay Products Company. Muncie Pottery started as a subsidiary of the German-American Clay Company. Muncie Pottery like so many of the other American art pottery companies closed its doors as a victim of the depression in 1939.
This 5 inch wide Rombic star vase was designed by well known Reuben Haley. The green over lilac is well executed and plays well on the angled shapes. A unique piece of American art pottery sure to be treasured.
Exceptional vase in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze. FREE from crazing. Impressed MUNCIE and signed by decorator A. No repairs or restoration. Glaze imperfections. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. The white spots are studio light reflections.
All pictures are original and un-edited. Authentic Muncie Pottery.
