Mattie Foglesong

Mattie Foglesong was born in Dayton, Ohio in 1875. She attended classes at the Cincinnati Art Academy, and worked at Rookwood Pottery for several years, from 1897 until 1902. Her work was typically found on interesting sculpted Mat Green Glaze pieces, as well as some Z-line pieces. She married an artist, Robert G. Herbert, and moved to New York City. Collector interest in her pieces is considered to be below average.
