Born in 1879, Marie Rauchfuss decorated at Rookwood Pottery from 1899 through 1903, mainly in Standard Glaze. She attended classes at the Art Academy of Cincinnati until 1897. She is best known for her Native American portraits. She left Rookwood to pursue work at the S.A. Weller pottery where she decorated many fine pieces of Louwelsa and Aurelian.
